We are hiring a Staff Accountant for a Private Equity backed manufacturing business based in the Yaphank, NY area. The role is on site, 5 days in the office, with every other Friday being a half-day, and a salary range of $75,000 - $95,000 per annum depending on experience. Key Responsibilities:

Assists the Controller with day-to-day, monthly, and year-end operations of the Accounting/Finance Department
Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, fixed assets, employer's benefit costs, accruals, and prepaid expenses
Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance
Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from department.
Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports, verifying information.
Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files, reconciling accounts.


Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree; accounting or finance a plus
3+ years of experience managing transactional accounting tasks
Must be proficient in Excel


Salary: $75 - 95k PA
